"Hayrick" No.14 Demolition Charge
Charge demolition "Hayrick" No.14, 11Lb is a steel vee-linear cutting charge for use against re-inforced concrete targets such
as bridge piers.
A linear shaped charge unit filled with 5.3 kg of high explosive primed with a powerful HE booster unit to ensure good performance.
The charges can be used individually or as a ‘necklace’ of five units.
A kit consists of five Hayrick units plus links and clamps for attaching the ‘necklace’ to the target. Initiation is usually by the detonating cord passed through the hole in the priming pellet.

Operation
For single unit use:
1. Position charge over target to be cut.
2. Remove brass bolt located through turret.
3. Insert detonating cord through turret hole.
4. Ensure range safety procedures are in operation.
5. Initiate detonating cord using a service or commercial detonator of at least strength No. 8.
Initiation
The charge can be initiated using either an
electric or non-electric detonator.
